Rare and extremely collectible historic squash blossom necklaces with coins dating back to the 1880's. . Large and heavy, it consists of beads formed from Mercury dimes and "blossoms" made from Morgan dollars that have been hammered to a convex shape. The cast silver naja measures 2 1/2"W x 3"L with a turquoise cabochon measuring approx 1/2"W x 1"L. Strung on string or cord measuring approx 26" long. Fastens with a hook clasp. The dollars date from 1881 A stunning example of this type of necklace, it's in very good condition with a vintage patina.
